Hands on Naturopathy

My name is Emma. I’m a degree qualified naturopath who incorporates Hands-on Body Therapy into your consultation.

I combine Naturopathic wisdom and Traditional Chinese Medicine to bring you a unique style of practice. I’m so passionate about the mind-body-spirit connection and viewing the body as a whole. I aim to treat the root cause of disease, not just the symptoms, with the intention to promote healing and restore health. I am fascinated by the 5-Element theory of Chinese Medicine and I incorporate this philosophy into my everyday life to help find purpose and balance, and I love to teach my clients how they can do the same!

So, let me ask you - Do you feel like your health could be a whole lot better? Are you sick of feeling unwell, tired or stressed? Are you ready to make some positive changes to your diet and lifestyle to massively improve your overall health and well-being? If yes, lets chat!

What does an Initial consultation involve?

Full Health History

An initial consult is a 90 minute appointment. We begin by having a chat about your health history. I will have questions about your diet and lifestyle as well as questions about all systems of the body to assess how well they are functioning and working together.

I will take a look at your tongue, skin, hair and nails to assess nutritional deficiencies.

Iridology

As part of your health assessment I will look at your Iris (the coloured part of your eye). Here lies the blue-print of your body. Genetic health predispositions can be determined through an iris assessment which helps guide me to see which area of the body needs to be prioritised for optimal healing to take place.

Herbal Therapy

Depending on the individual, a herbal prescription may be recommended to promote healing. This may be in the form of a liquid herbal extract or tincture or it may be tablets or capsules if the client prefers, or I may prescribe a herbal tea you can prepare at home.

Supplements

First and foremost I always prefer to correct nutritional deficiencies by correcting the diet. However, if you are showing clear signs of a serious deficiency in 1 or more nutrients, then I will be highly recommending you take a supplement until levels in the body have been topped up. In some cases pathology testing may be appropriate.

Acupressure

This is the part where you get to lay back and relax! Each session with me will include an acupressure session to help facilitate healing. You will be fully clothed and the treatment is oil-free. Please wear loose comfortable clothing that are not too restrictive (jeans are not ideal).

This is an energetic treatment. I will be assessing the meridians (energy lines) of the body to determine where there may be blocks (congestion). This can be due to holding patterns, emotional blockages, poor nutrition and many other reasons. This will give me a really good idea on what’s going on overall for the individual.
